Under what circumstances might there be a practically significant result that is not “statistically significan?

You are testing a new type of petrol you find that this type of petrol improves fuel efficiency this is statistically significant but than you realize that it costs more to buy than you save by using more fuel efficient petrol and you don't drive enough to regain the cost so this is not practically significant
