Should I choose the cheaper college, or the expensive dream school?
I am just finishing my senior year, and intend on pursuing a further education in illustration and art. I have narrowed it down to two options; Minneapolis College of Art and Design (MCAD), and Ringling College of Art and Design (Ringling). Originally, they are both similar in price, but after financial aid, MCAD becomes significantly cheaper. However, Ringling's illustration program and all of their programs in general, are exponentially higher in quality than MCAD, and statistically, they have a higher job placement and a much larger collection or prestigious alumni. Ringling also appeals to me in almost every way, school size, student/faculty ratio, campus, location, etc.. Ringling is the better school, but MCAD is the cheaper one. Which do I choose?
